Is Zona Encuestas Legit? The Good, the Bad and the Reviews

Who’s behind Zona Encuestas, how it works with Cint, what the negative reviews actually say, and what we’re doing about each complaint.

The Zona Encuestas team 4 min read

If you searched “Is Zona Encuestas legit?”, you probably found some bad reviews. They’re real, and we’re not going to hide them. This article covers who’s behind the panel, how it works, exactly what those reviews say, and how much truth there is in each complaint.

The short answer: Zona Encuestas is a real panel that has been around since 2011, and the studies you see are served by Cint, one of the largest market research networks in the world. It’s also true that we’ve had problems that show up in the reviews, and that for a while we didn’t answer them. Both things are true.

Who’s behind it

Zona Encuestas is a Grupo Jobo product. The domain has been registered since 2011, and the contact email is info@zonaencuestas.com.

We don’t write the questionnaires: they come through Cint, a network that connects companies that need opinions with panels of people willing to give them. When you complete a survey, the brand that ordered it pays for your answers, and part of that payment is what you receive. We explain it in more detail in how to tell a real panel from a scam.

What the reviews say, unfiltered

On Trustpilot, Zona Encuestas currently has only a few reviews, and almost all of them are negative. These are the complaints that come up again and again. The reviews are written in Spanish; the quotes below are our translation, keeping as close as we can to the reviewers’ own words.

“After the redesign, they took part of my money”

Some reviewers say they lost part of their balance after the platform changed. We’re not going to argue with them here: if this happened to you, email info@zonaencuestas.com from the address on your account, tell us what balance you had, and we’ll look into it.

“They suspended my account for no reason”

Every survey panel suspends accounts when it detects inconsistent answers, duplicate accounts or answers given too fast. It’s an industry-wide rule, because brands don’t pay for answers that aren’t real. That doesn’t mean every suspension is fair. If you think your account was suspended by mistake, email info@zonaencuestas.com from the address on your account and ask for a review.

“They don’t answer emails or messages”

That complaint is fair, and we have no excuse. The channel for any problem with your account is info@zonaencuestas.com: write from the email you signed up with, so we can find your account.

“It kicks me out halfway through” and “the quota is already full”

It’s the most common complaint about every panel, including the biggest ones. Each study looks for a specific profile and has a quota; if you don’t fit or the quota has been filled, the survey ends. It isn’t a trick to avoid paying you, even if we understand why it feels like one. We go into detail in why you sometimes don’t qualify for a survey, and in how to complete your profile so it happens less often.

“It takes forever to earn the points”

That’s true, and we say so on our home page: this is extra money, not a paycheck. Reaching the cash-out minimum can take weeks, depending on your country and your profile. If you want to run the numbers before signing up, see how much you can really earn.

A negative review doesn’t make a panel a scam, and a high rating doesn’t make it a good deal for you. What matters is whether it pays what it promises, whether it tells you up front what each survey pays, and whether it answers when something goes wrong.

What you can check for yourself

  • Signing up is free, and we don’t ask for a card or any payment. If someone asks you for money in the name of Zona Encuestas, it’s a scam.
  • Every invitation shows what it pays and how long it takes before you start.
  • You cash out from US$5, via PayPal, to the account tied to the email you signed up with, with no fee.
  • Invitations reach your email and your account, not WhatsApp or Telegram. If someone offers you work over chat in the name of Zona Encuestas, be suspicious. If it happens to you, read how to spot those scams.

What we’re doing

  • Telling it like it is, on our home page and on this blog: what you really earn, why you sometimes don’t qualify, and how long it takes to reach the minimum.
  • Reviewing the balance and suspension cases that reach info@zonaencuestas.com.
  • Explaining where the money comes from, so anyone can judge whether this makes sense: we cover it in why brands pay for your opinion.

So, is it legit?

It’s a real panel, with real studies, that pays via PayPal from US$5 and doesn’t ask you for anything to join. It’s not a way to make a living, and it has had customer support problems that show in the reviews. If you’re looking for a little extra money in your spare time and you accept the limits, you can try it without risking anything. If you’ve already had a problem with your account, email info@zonaencuestas.com: that’s the way to get it sorted out.
